Experiencing ‘snow’ in the Philippines: Christmas Village 2019

Last Updated on: 28th June 2023, 02:50 pm

Do you want to experience white Christmas without travelling abroad? Say no more- just go to Baguio City and visit the Christmas Village!

This small park, which is located inside Baguio Country Club, opens once a year starting from October to January. The Christmas Village shows a different theme every year and the theme for this year is the hottest tv show and movie for 2019: Game of Thrones and Avengers!

Opening Hours

The Christmas Village is open from October 23 2019 to January 5, 2020. It is open daily from 2:00PM to 10:00PM (Monday-Thursday) and 10:00AM to 11:00PM (Friday-Sunday and during the holidays)

We went there last December 2 and the line was so long! There are so many tourists and there is only 1 ticket booth. The worst part was, the lines are not organized so some people sneak into the front of the line unnoticed due to the large crowd. Thankfully, a group of security guards decided to intervene and fix our lines.

Be prepared for a large number of tourists, especially during the weekends. If you want to avoid the crowd, I suggest to go earlier or go here during weekdays.

experience

The highlight of the Christmas Village is the ‘snowfall’, which is actually a detergent soap. It falls every 30 mins and it’s fun watching others (and also ours!) reactions when the ‘snow’ begins to fall. Don’t forget to take a picture and show off your white Christmas experience!

Other attractions inside are the living Nativity Scene, Live Band, Wishing Wall and Picture taking with Santa Claus.  There are also food stalls available inside. Since the theme is GOT and Avengers, you will find figurines of Dragons, some Avengers heroes and much more. My favorite spot in the village is the colorful flowers (for IG worthy posts) and the food stalls (because I love to eat!).

Food Stalls that offers light snacks and drinks.
