One of the most iconic attractions inside Gardens by the Bay is the Supertree Grove. This futuristic garden features 18 towering artificial trees, ranging in height from 25 to 50 meters. But there’s more to these supertrees — these structures are covered in a lush variety of ferns, orchids, and tropical plants and help with fundamental environmental functions like solar energy collection and rainwater harvesting. For the full experience, check out the OCBC Skyway, a 128-meter-long walkway that connects two Supertrees and offers breathtaking views of the city skyline. Plus, every evening, the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show transforms the grove into a dazzling wonderland — a definite must-see!

This indoor attraction houses beautiful garden landscapes with suspended bouquets and bright floral arrangements. Compared to the Flower Dome, this attraction is much smaller, measuring 1,500 sqm. Floral Fantasy is divided into four gardens: Dance, Float, Waltz, and Drift, each with its theme. Aside from the flower gardens, there’s also a 4D theater inside called Flight of the Dragonfly, which takes you to an immersive experience of flying around Gardens by the Bay Singapore through a dragonfly’s eyes.

Our Experience

Cloud Forest

We visited here on our first day in Singapore and arrived late afternoon. At first, I was a bit bummed because it was raining—but then I remembered, all the attractions we planned to see were indoors. We explored the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, which we booked as a bundle deal through Klook.

Our first stop was the cloud forest; the moment I stepped inside, it was so cold. It was a good thing I wore my cardigan since my friends advised me to bring one because of the cool temperature inside. I was absolutely in awe of the vast 30m waterfall near the entrance.

There were a lot of tourists inside, so it was hard to get a photo without many photo bombers. As I was trying to get the perfect shot, I noticed a soft mist starting to roll in. My friends quickly reminded me—it was already the “misting hour,” which began around 4 PM. Honestly, the mist gave the whole area a dreamy, almost otherworldly vibe. It felt like I had wandered straight into a hidden jungle.

We saw different types of plants, ferns, and flowers, and I didn’t expect that place to be that huge. Actually, it was my first time visiting an indoor garden, let alone one of the most extensive indoor gardens in the world. After exploring the cloud forest, we took a stroll at Cloud Walk, a suspended walkway where you can see spectacular views of Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Flyer.

From here, we went straight to Crystal Mountain, which is built like a cave and contains many different types of rock formations and fossils. Each rock has its own description, where you can learn about its origins and a little bit of history.

As we made our way toward the exit, we stumbled into the Cloud Forest Gallery—a small museum paired with an interactive exhibit featuring a virtual forest. It was actually my first time experiencing an interactive museum, and honestly, it was so cool! You could jump, tap, and touch the virtual plants; they’d magically spring to life like magic.

Supertree Grove (small supertrees section)

Before we went to Flower Dome, we decided to visit Supertree Grove, which is near the Cloud Forest. This section of Supertree Grove is where the smaller supertrees are located; the bigger ones are on the other side (where the OCBC Skyway is also located). Fortunately, the rain stopped, and we took pictures of the iconic supertrees.

Flower Dome

Last but not least, we entered the Flower Dome at around 8:00 PM—just an hour before closing. When we arrived, only a few tourists were inside, so the dome was almost ours. There were lights inside, so we could still see the flowers and plants, but I think it’s more vibrant and pretty if we went in the morning.

Gardens By the Bay Singapore

The dome is absolutely massive, and inside, we found beautifully themed gardens inspired by different countries worldwide. We wandered through areas filled with cacti, succulents, aloes, olive trees, and so much more. It was such an incredible experience, especially since a lot of the plants here are pretty rare back home, and some were totally new to me.

The main attraction inside was the Japanese garden, a tribute to Tokyo’s beloved cherry blossom season. We wandered through rows of beautiful cherry blossom trees and Japanese structures inside, and it honestly felt like we had been whisked away to Japan.

Supertree Grove (Big supertrees section)

After exploring the Flower Dome, we went straight to Supertree Grove, where the big supertrees are located. Sadly, we missed the light show at 8:45 PM—but luckily, the Supertrees were still lit up, so we managed to sneak in some photo time. Seeing these iconic supertrees up close felt surreal after only admiring them online. It’s one of those “wow, I’m here” moments I’ll never forget.
