7 Universal Studios Singapore rides and attractions worth lining up for

Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs. CYLON

  • Type of Ride: Extreme Roller Coaster

This dueling rollercoaster is a must-ride for thrill seekers and one of the most popular rides at USS. It’s actually two roller coasters in one—HUMAN (red) and CYLON (blue). HUMAN is a fast, seated ride with sharp turns and big drops. CYLON is the more extreme one, where your legs hang as you go through loops and twists. Both coasters launch simultaneously, racing against each other in the sky!

Tip: Try HUMAN first if you’re new to extreme rides, then go for CYLON if you’re up for a bigger thrill! This ride is definitely a 10/10 for me💥

Revenge of the Mummy

  • Type of Ride: Indoor Roller Coaster

Definitely my favorite and probably the best ride I’ve ever had, Revenge of the Mummy is set in ancient Egypt, and trust me—it’s not your usual theme park ride. Before I rode this, I thought it would be just a chill ride with a touch of horror, but boy, I was wrong. The ride starts slow… then suddenly launches you into darkness with sharp twists, quick drops, and even a section that goes backward! 😱

The special effects, fire, and surprises along the way make you feel like you’re escaping a cursed mummy’s tomb. It’s dark, fast, and seriously fun. I actually rode this twice – that’s just how good it is. This ride is definitely a 100/10!

TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D battle

  • Type of Ride: Indoor Hyper-Realistic 3D

One of the most popular attractions at Universal Studios Singapore, this indoor ride combines 3D visuals, motion simulation, and special effects to create an immersive experience. Once aboard your ride vehicle, EVAC, you’re thrust into a high-speed chase through cityscapes, dodging attacks from Megatron and his forces. The ride’s realistic effects, including heat, wind, and water sprays, are just awesome.

Note: TRANSFORMERS The Ride will be temporarily unavailable from May 17 to May 30, 2025, for maintenance.

Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure

  • Type of Ride: Whitewater Rapids Ride

If you’re up for a wet and wild adventure, Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure is the ride for you. Located in The Lost World zone, this river rapids ride takes you deep into Jurassic Park—complete with life-sized dinosaurs, jungle vibes, and man-made waterfalls. Sounds chill, right? But don’t get too comfy—the ride takes a suspenseful turn when your raft gets “redirected” into a restricted zone. That’s where things get wild… and wet! 🌊 The grand finale includes a big drop and a splash that will soak you, so get ready! I suggest wearing a raincoat or bringing extra clothes since you’re most likely to get wet.

Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey

  • Type of Ride: Suspended Roller Coaster

You shouldn’t miss out on this cute themed ride based on one of the beloved characters from Shrek. Located in the Far Far Away zone, the ride begins with a unique spiral lift that takes you up into the sky. As you ascend, you’ll join Puss and Kitty Softpaws on a mission to steal golden eggs from the Great Terror to save an orphanage. The ride does pick up speed in some parts, so if you get startled easily—hang on tight and enjoy the ride!

Lights Camera Action!

  • Indoor Attraction

Ever wondered how the behind-the-scenes of Hollywood films are made? Then head on to this one-of-a-kind attraction located in the New York Zone. The experience starts with a short video introduction by Steven Spielberg, who shares insights into the world of filmmaking. Then, you’re guided into a soundstage designed to look like a boathouse in New York City. Suddenly, a simulated hurricane strikes! You’ll witness strong winds, thunder, lightning, and even a cargo ship crashing through the set—all created with impressive special effects. Just a heads up though – if you are positioned in front of the stage, there’s a chance you might get wet because of the water effects!

Shrek’s 4D Adventure

  • 4D Attraction

Experience the magic of Shrek in this family-friendly 4D Attraction, located at the Far Far Away Zone. The 4D Theater is located inside the castle where you’ll enjoy an immersive show of Shrek, Donkey, and Princess Fiona on a quest to rescue Fiona from the ghost of Lord Farquaad. The adventure picks up right after the events of the first Shrek film, offering a continuation of the beloved story. The theater seats move in sync with the on-screen action, and additional effects like wind and water sprays make you feel like you’re part of the story. It’s a delightful experience for both kids and adults, especially fans of the Shrek movies.

Tip: This indoor attraction is a great way to take a break from the heat or rain while still enjoying some entertainment.

Note: Each Universal Express Pass is date-specific, so be sure to use it on the day you booked — it’s only valid for that specific day.

Tips when going to Universal Studios Singapore

  • Go early and head straight to the popular rides such as Revenge of the Mummy, Transformers, and Battlestar Galactica. Skip the photo ops for now—you can always take those later! We did this and managed to ride all three within an hour, without needing an Express Pass. However, we went to USS on a weekday, so it’s best to avoid going on weekends and holidays.
  • Try to have lunch before noon or after 2 PM to avoid long food lines.
  • Bring a small umbrella or poncho, wear comfy clothes, and don’t forget sunscreen. Singapore is hot and humid, with sudden rain showers. Also, don’t forget to bring your own water/tumblr – there are plenty of refill stations around the park, and most of them are located near the restrooms. Stay hydrated!
  • Wear rubber shoes – USS is a very large park, so be prepared for a lot of walking.
  • Bring a power bank. You’ll be using your phone a lot for photos, videos, and browsing during wait times, so your power bank will be your lifesaver.
