Siargao Day 3: Naked, Daku and Guyam Islands

Last Updated on: 8th March 2024, 03:02 pm

As a confessed beach lover, our third day in Siargao satisfied the beach lover in me! We did the three-island tour, which are: Naked, Daku, and Guyam Islands. The good thing about these three Islands is they are near each other ( 15-20 mins boat ride), and they are also near General Luna, where our resort was located.

Naked Island

No, it is not named because tourists here need to go naked. Naked Island is a beautiful sand bar located in the middle of the sea and just a short boat ride from General Luna Port. It’s called Naked Island since there are no structures, trees, or grass – only pure white sand. Seeing Naked Island reminded me of the sand bar back in Camiguin, although this is much smaller.

Compared to the sand bar in Camiguin, its beach is much cleaner and clearer. Aside from swimming, you can relax in the sand and take tons of pictures- everywhere is photography-worthy.

Daku Island

Up next on the tour is Daku Island, which is just a short boat ride from Naked Island. The Island has small cottages which you can rent, and the locals there offer paluto, so make sure to bring delicious food and they will cook it for you, at an affordable price.

The coconut trees here are really photography-worthy, especially the beach. It’s just quite hard to swim since there’s a current, but there is a long rope that you can hold on to.

Despite the current, we still had a good swim, and the beach is very clear! The whole place is clean too, and if you want relaxation, you will enjoy it here. No booming speakers, no karaokes, just the sound of the waves you’ll hear.

Our last stop for the day was Guyam Island, a small island near Daku Island. We didn’t swim here because, unfortunately, we got there during low tide. Well, it’s okay since we’re quite tired from swimming- we’ve already done lots of swimming in the past few days! We just relaxed and chilled under the coconut trees, then did some picture-taking.

Wrap up

This is our final trip to Siargao and what a way to end this trip! Each island has its distinct features- the Naked Island for its sand bar, Daku for its clear beach and coconut trees, and Guyam for its rock formations. Make sure you don’t miss this day trip once you travel to Siargao.
